BIEK results controversy: Fact-finding committee recommends upto 20pc grace marks to students

A fact-finding committee set up by the Sindh Assembly has recommended 15 to 20 per cent grace marks  failed in the first year of intermediate exams.

The fact-finding committee has submitted its report to Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah.

In this report, detailed points have been included on the results, assessment, academic situation of the board and colleges.

In addition, the committee has also proposed to review the results of other education boards of Sindh on the issue of exceeding a limit.

In the light of this report, the committee concerned will take its decision soon because on the basis of this decision, the students of the first year will participate in the annual examinations starting from April 15.

It may be recalled that a committee had handed over the investigation of the results of the first year to the fact-finding committee. Convener of the fact-finding committee was appointed by NED University Vice Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, while the head of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee Nauman Ahsan and the Nazim of NED were appointed as the convener of the fact-finding committee.

Controller Examinations Safi Ahmed Zaki was also included in the committee.
