‘Strawberry Quick’ candy marked as dangerous for kids
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Multan, Muhammad Ali Bukhari, has issued a serious warning about a candy called “Strawberry Quick.” He describes it as a new version of “sweet poison” that poses a potential threat to children’s health.
According to the DC, this candy could have disastrous effects on young consumers, especially as it is linked to addiction to harmful drugs like “crystal meth.”
“Strawberry Quick” is being sold in various areas, including Multan and Peshawar. In Peshawar’s People’s Market, there have been reports of lollipops laced with drugs that lure children into drug addiction.
The candy appears harmless at first, but its dangerous impact could lead to severe consequences for children, who are unaware of its risks.
In response, the district administration has acted swiftly, arresting shopkeepers involved in the sale of these harmful products and removing the candy from the market. This move aims to protect children from falling into the trap of addiction and to ensure public safety.
This alarming situation has sparked broader discussions about the need for better regulatory measures. Parents, educators, and community leaders are urged to stay vigilant and educate children about the dangers of consuming suspicious candies.
Awareness campaigns are necessary to prevent children from being exposed to substances disguised as sweets. Protecting children from such harmful products is now a priority for families and society as a whole.
