PTI leaders pile up complaints in a meeting with CJP Afridi
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Monday complained Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi about not allowing a meeting with party founder Imran Khan.
Talking to the media after a meeting the CJP, PTI leader Omar Ayub said that in the last jail trial, they took permission from the party founder to meet the Chief Justice. In the meeting, the cases of the PTI founder were discussed in front of the Chief Justice and told him that the date of the cases Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi changes.
Omar Ayub said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan was told that lawyers are not allowed to meet the founder. Babar Awan said that in the past, open trials were held instead of jail trials.
He said that Salman Akram Raja placed the matter of missing persons before the Chief Justice and also informed about the state terrorism in Punjab.
He said that the situation in Balochistan was also discussed with Chief Justice Afridi. The letters of PTI founder Imran Khan on the issue of May 9 and November 26 were mentioned. Apart from this, the matter of production order of senators and MPs was also put forward. We also told the Chief Justice about the details of the intimidation of lawyers and also mentioned fake FIRs on lawyers.
Omar Ayub said that the issue of police terrorism and state repression was also raised in the meeting. The case of Sargodha Anti-Terrorism Court was also placed before the Chief Justice, he added.
