JUI-S chief Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani among 4 martyred in Darul Uloom Haqqania mosque suicide attack

JUI-S chief Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani among four people were martyred and 20 others injured in a suicide attack at the Darul Uloom Haqqania mosque in Akora Khattak during the Friday prayers.
The District Police Officer (DPO)Â has confirmed the blast. Sources said that four people were martyred and 20 others injured in the deadly suicide blast.
Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani is son of late Maulana Samiul Haq Haqqani, who was known as the spiritual father of Taliban.
Maulana Samiul Haq was stabbed to death inside his Rawalpindi home by unidentified attackers on November 2, 2018.
Sani Haqqani, the son of JUI-S chief Maulana Hamid ul Haq, said that hundreds of people were present at the mosque when the explosion occurred.
Sources said that explosion reportedly took place in the front row during the Jumma prayers.
The bodies and the injured have been shifted to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) that is located around 45 minutes drive from the site of blast.
A spokesperson for the hospital said that emergency has been declared at the medical facility.
The Khyber Pakhtunkwa government has received a preliminary report on the blast from the security intelligences.
According to the report, the explosion at the Darul Uloom Haqqania was a suicide attack that was carried out after Friday prayers inside madrasa.
It said that JUI-S chief Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani and four others were martyred while 20 injured in the suicide attack.
Suicide attack in Darul Uloom Haqqania is a heinous act of Fitna al-Khawarij and his patrons, security sources said.
Last month, Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani took a clear and unambiguous stance on women’s education at a conference, they said. The JUI-S had declared stopping women from studying against Islam.
Later, the Maulana received threats over this statement.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Nowshera blast.
Aslam Ghori, a JUI-S spokesperson condemned the blast at Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak.
The spokesperson voicing concern said that now even mosques and seminaries are no longer safe.
