PIA announces special discounts on international fares ahead of Ramadan & Eid 2025

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced significant fare discounts on two international routes in anticipation of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr 2025.

The national flag carrier is offering a 10% discount on flights from Toronto to Karachi and a 15% discount on fares from Paris to Islamabad.

According to reports, passengers flying from Toronto to Karachi can avail of this special offer until March 31, with bookings open until March 10. Meanwhile, tickets from Paris to Islamabad can be booked until March 2, with the discount applicable for flights from February 28 to March 16.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed that passengers can make reservations both through travel agents and the airline’s official online booking platform.

This announcement comes shortly after PIA resumed its flights to Europe, starting with Paris, following the lifting of a ban by the EU Aviation Regulator. PIA had been barred from operating in the EU, UK, and US since June 2020 due to concerns over pilot license verifications.

In parallel, the federal government is accelerating efforts to privatize PIA, following the failure of its first attempt, which attracted only Rs10 billion from a single bidder. The authorities are expected to invite Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for PIA’s privatization in March 2025.

These discounted fares provide a great opportunity for travelers, especially those planning their journeys during the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid celebrations.
