PTI founder being kept in death cell in Adiala Jail: spokesperson

The PTI’s central information secretary has claimed that Imran Khan has been kept in the death cell of Adiala Jail.

Addressing a press conference, PTI leader Sheikh Waqas said that the law allows Imran Khan to meet while he has been kept in solitary confinement.

He claimed that the former prime minister has been kept in the death cell.

Sheikh Waqas said that no one is being allowed to meet Imran Khan.

According to the court’s decision, six people are allowed to meet. We have filed a contempt of court petition. One has to approach the court to meet Imran Khan. They are not allowed to meet despite contempt of court. Political colleagues are stopped, their families are also not allowed to meet.

He further said that the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also not allowed to meet. He said that how will Imran Khan consult his lawyers for cases? Court orders are being blown in the air. Imran Khan’s books are also being stopped. Jail authorities are not even giving newspapers to Imran Khan. The meeting with Imran Khan’s wife was also postponed twice.

Sheikh Waqas said that despite the court’s orders, Imran Khan’s children are not being met. The signing of the letter of advocacy is also not allowed. These actions reveal the mindset of the government. Such acts of the government are forcing protests.

Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas said that Imran Khan’s nerves are strong, they cannot be broken. A personal physician should be allowed for their medical examination.
