Fazl says raising a gun against a cleric not jihad but terrorism

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that raising a gun against a cleric is not jihad, but narrow-mindedness and terrorism.
Speaking at Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak, he said that the grief of the martyrdom of Maulana Samiul Haq was fresh.and Maulana Hamidul Haq, son of Maulana Samiul Haq, was also martyred.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he had some information that the operation is going to be carried out at Darul Uloom Haqqania. I met the state officials and mentioned the operation to them, told them that if such an intention is there, it will be very expensive as JUI does not do politics of arms.
“I made it clear that if you look at Darul Uloom Haqqania, the answer will be given,” he said.
Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq was a harmless person, he and added that how can a gun be used against a Muslim cleric.
He said that this is not jihad but terrorism. It is in Islam that killing one person is the murder of the entire humanity, these people are looking for the path of Paradise in the name of Jihad, he added.
