Mercury likely to surge to 39 degrees today in Karachi

The intensity of heat is likely to increase during the daytime today in Karachi.

According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of heat has started increasing in the city during the daytime and the maximum temperature is expected to go up to 39 degrees Celsius today.

On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rain and snowfall in different parts of the country from next week.

According to the weather department, a spell of weak westerly winds will enter the country tonight, which will last till March 16, while its intensity will increase from March 12.

Under this system, rain and snowfall are expected in Islamabad, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while rain and snowfall in many areas of Balochistan on March 14 and 15.

Heavy snowfall in the upper parts of the country is likely to block roads. Due to heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, landslides are feared, so fishermen, tourists and passengers should be careful and farmers should take advance steps to protect crops from damage.
