PTI moved LHC for rally permission?
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Lahore High Court seeking permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 22.
PTI leader Akmal Khan Bari has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, in which the chief secretary Punjab, deputy commissioner Lahore and others have been made parties.
In the petition filed in the court, it has been argued that the PTI has to hold a public meeting from 8 pm to 12 pm on March 22. The Constitution of Pakistan also allows meetings and rallies.
The petition said the PTI was being subjected to political vendetta. The administration is not taking a decision on the request for the rally. The court ordered the Deputy Commissioner Lahore and others to decide on the petition and allowed the public meeting on March 22.
