PTI spread propaganda on Jaffar Express issue: Khawaja Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the way our forces dealt with all terrorists involved Jaffar Express attack they deserve salute.

The minister said the way PTI propagated on this issue is very shameful.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly session, he said that the issue of Jaffar Express the way our forces dealt with all terrorists is an important milestone in the fight against terrorism.

He slammed the way PTI’s social media described the terrorist attack, adding it was said that the terrorists released the hostages themselves and the army did not got the releases. Their people sitting abroad did this propaganda, the minister said.

He further said that these people taunted us of Form 47, adding they themselves are a product of martial law. The PTI government was in power for four years, here General Bajwa and Faiz Hameed were briefing that it is good to settle terrorists.

The defence minister said that why should he take the names of those fugitives who cannot defend themselves sitting in the country?

He said that the Balochistan incident gave a message of unity to the entire nation, sadly, those who attacked the train were declared successful.

Asif said that the army played an important role in releasing the abducted people. An attempt was made to show failure to the success of the army, he added. During Khawaja Asif’s speech, PTI members demanded him to mention names of the leaders who did it.

The defence minister said that the PTI fugitives who are sitting outside are making a narrative against the army on social media. Yesterday, he was talking about democracy here whose grandfather suspended the constitution for the first time.

PTI members said that you also supported martial law in the past, to which Khawaja Asif said that he and his family had apologized for supporting martial law in the past. I apologize in the House for supporting martial law in the past.

The defence minister said that no one intervened during the speech of the opposition leader. Today I am replying. Chairman PAC is legal in their eyes, today’s salaries are legal.

He said that they are ready for a war for power, but not ready for the war against terrorism.

Asif added that it would have been better if the opposition leaders praised the economic improvement and the sacrifices of the armed forces.
