Pak army captain martyred, 10 terrorists killed in DI Khan operation: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan District, targeting militants involved in terrorist activities.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched based on confirmed intelligence reports. Security personnel successfully neutralized ten militants after surrounding their hideout and engaging them in combat.

During the exchange of fire, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (24), a resident of District Jhelum, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front. ISPR described him as a brave officer known for his courage and decisive actions in previous operations.

Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants, who were allegedly involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and civilians.

A sanitization operation is ongoing to clear the area of any remaining threats, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
