Govt likely to reduce petroleum prices on Eid - Check Prices
Pakistan’s petrol and diesel rates are set to be reduced from April 1, 2025, due to a drop in global oil prices. The cuts are expected to be around Rs3-3.50 per litre for petrol and Rs3 per litre for diesel.
The Finance Minister will make the final decision, and the government plans to revise fuel prices every fortnight, considering global market trends, exchange rates, and local tax adjustments.
Implementing price cuts could significantly alleviate consumers’ financial burden, particularly in the face of rising costs and economic challenges, particularly in the context of inflationary pressures.
The global oil price of petrol has decreased by $1.50 per barrel from $7.24 to $5.84, while diesel prices have decreased by $0.60 per barrel, which is expected to positively impact fuel prices in South Asia.
Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged in March 2025, despite rumors of a significant price cut. The Finance Division reported petrol at Rs 255.63, diesel at Rs 258.64, kerosene at Rs 168.12, and light diesel at Rs 15
