BISP 8171 registration update from govt – March 2025

BISP August 2025 – Politics and Vote Influence in Pakistan’s Welfare Program
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), which began in 2008, has issued an important update for those looking to register for financial aid. BISP provides cash support to poor women and their families across Pakistan, focusing on those in real need—regardless of their background, region, or beliefs.
The programme aims to reduce long-term poverty and support women empowerment, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
BISP uses data collected from Pakistan’s first-ever door-to-door poverty survey to identify eligible households. This detailed database helps shape welfare policies and ensures support reaches those who truly need it.
Key Programmes Under BISP
Kafaalat – Monthly financial support for women
Taleemi Wazaif – Educational assistance for children
Nashonuma – Health and nutrition support for mothers and children
If you want to benefit from these, you must be registered through the official survey.
BISP Registration Clarification
BISP recently shared a video on social media to address rumors. It stated that registration is only done through the official poverty survey, which takes place every two years. There is no open or online registration currently happening.
People are advised not to believe false news or fake registration links being spread online.
