Eid ul Fitr 2025: No challans for tourists
To ensure a smooth travel experience for visitors during the Eidul Fitr holidays, the Abbottabad Traffic Police have announced a three-day suspension of traffic challans. During this period, challan devices will remain inactive, ensuring that no tourist is fined.
The decision was taken in a high-level meeting held on Thursday, where officials discussed special traffic management strategies for Eid. DSP Headquarters, DSP Traffic, DSP Mandian, DSP Havelian, Inspector Traffic, and senior police officers, including those from the Main Control Room and Traffic Control Room, were present at the meeting.
Traffic Plan for Eid
SSP Traffic Warden Tariq Mahmood Khan stated that to manage the holiday rush, all traffic police personnel would remain on duty, as official leaves have been canceled.
Additionally, special facilitation centers will be set up to assist tourists, ensuring they do not face any difficulties during their visit.
Emphasizing discipline and professionalism, SSP Tariq Mahmood directed officers to maintain respectful behavior towards tourists and the public. He warned that any misconduct or rude behavior would not be tolerated, and officers must ensure smooth traffic flow to prevent congestion.
Public Assistance and Safety Measures
Traffic police personnel will be strategically deployed across the city to assist citizens in case of emergencies. Authorities have urged the public to follow traffic rules and cooperate with law enforcement for a hassle-free and enjoyable Eid experience.
