Bohra community, ANP celebrate Eidul Fitr today

The Bohra community in Pakistan is celebrating Eidul Fitr today, while Awami National Party chief Aimal Wali Khan has also announced to celebrate Eid today.

The religious festival is also being celebrated in Saudi Arabia, UAE and other Gulf countries today as the Shawwal crescent moon was sighted on Saturday evening in these countries.

Earlier, the moon-sighting committee met after Maghrib prayers and verified the new moon, ending Ramadan after 29 days of fasting in Saudi Arabia. The Royal Court officially declared Saturday as the last day of Ramazan and Sunday as Eidul Fitr.
