Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the country, emphasizing that serving the public has been his primary focus throughout Ramadan.
He highlighted the massive Iftar arrangement for 1 million people in the spirit of unity and mentioned that daily prizes, including residential plots and Umrah tickets, were distributed among Karachi’s residents as part of his commitment to public welfare.

Farooq Sattar’s Eid Message and Concerns Over Public Safety
Senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar also extended Eid greetings, though he noted a sense of grief, stating that they were celebrating the occasion with a heavy heart.
He raised concerns over the alarming rise in dumper truck accidents, which have claimed the lives of over 100 citizens this year. Sattar vowed that MQM-P would not rest until those responsible are brought to justice.
Furthermore, he pointed out the ongoing unrest in Sindh’s cities and urged the government to take serious action against terrorism.
Addressing economic issues, Sattar called for the upcoming budget to bring hope to the people, emphasizing the need for a reduction in electricity prices by Rs. 10 per unit to alleviate financial burdens.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Calls for Immediate Reforms
MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui addressed the media on Eid, stating that for the past year, the people have suffered oppression and injustice.
He blamed the dumper mafia and rising crime on non-locals, warning that Karachi cannot be left in its current deteriorating state.
Siddiqui criticized the city’s administration, asserting that it cannot continue in its current dysfunctional form. He also acknowledged that the Governor’s House has transformed into a center of public service, commending efforts to support democracy.
Calling for immediate action from the federal government, Siddiqui stressed that it is now the responsibility of the federation to resolve the people’s grievances and bring relief to the community.
