Raja Riffat Mukhtar appointed DG of FIA

Raja Riffat Mukhtar, the former Inspector General (IG) of Police in Sindh and the Motorway, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Mukhtar, a Grade 21 officer in the Police Service of Pakistan, was previously the IG of the National Highway and Motorway Police in 2024.

In other appointments, Waqaruddin Syed, a Grade 20 officer, has been made the DG of the National Cyber Crime Agency. Imran Yaqub Minhas, recently promoted to Grade 22, has been assigned to the Prime Minister’s Inspection Team after serving as the Additional IG of the Counter-Terrorism Department Sindh.

Additionally, Muhammad Shehzad Sultan, also a Grade 22 officer, will continue his role as a Minister Instructor at the National School of Public Policy.
