Federal government abolishes five accountability courts in Lahore

The federal government abolished five accountability courts in Lahore, and all five National Accountability Bureau (NAB) courts have been converted into special courts for other sectors.
According to news sources, the federal government has converted two accountability courts in Lahore into special customs courts.
In this regard, two accountability courts are intellectual property tribunals, and one accountability court has been given the status of a special central court.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab chief minister, has announced plans to set up roadside food bazaars across the province.

The plan has been called ‘Sahulat-on-the-go bazaars’, which aims to make essential food items easily accessible to the masses.

The chief minister, during a recent meeting, approved the project in principle. She had set a four-month timeline for its implementation.

Sources said that the pilot project will first launch at Lahore’s 14 locations, which include Hanjarwal, Multan Road and Faisal Town, among others.

The project includes establishing 816 stalls that will offer uniform cottage-top shops for essential edible items.
