PIA Islamabad to Paris flight faces uproar, passenger arrested

A tragic incident of rudeness and violence has occurred on a flight of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) from Islamabad to Paris, a passenger lost his temper and attacked a flight attendant when she asked him not to smoke.

During the incident, when the flight steward intervened and tried to save the air hostess, the passenger attacked him as well.

Given the seriousness of the situation, the flight captain contacted Paris Airport air traffic control before landing and requested security. As soon as the flight landed at Paris Airport, security personnel immediately arrived on the plane and detained the passenger.

The security force also recorded the statement of the flight attendant, while a PIA spokesperson confirmed the incident and said that action will be taken against the passenger.

Earlier, PIA has introduced significant fare discounts on two international routes in anticipation of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr 2025.

The national flag carrier is offering a 10% discount on flights from Toronto to Karachi and a 15% discount on fares from Paris to Islamabad.

According to reports, passengers flying from Toronto to Karachi can avail of this special offer until March 31, with bookings open until March 10. Meanwhile, tickets from Paris to Islamabad can be booked until March 2, with the discount applicable for flights from February 28 to March 16.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed that passengers can make reservations both through travel agents and the airline’s official online booking platform.
