The Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has announced that oil prices have decreased in the global market, the benefits of the price reduction will be passed on to the public, the economy is stabilizing, and a task force has also been formed for reforms in the maritime sector.
Speaking at a meeting on maritime sector reforms in Islamabad, the PM said that a task force was formed for reforms in the maritime sector, and the task force worked hard.
The PM further stated that with an average reduction of 7.5 rupees in the price of electricity, Pakistan’s economy is becoming stronger, this is a major relief that has been provided to domestic and industrial consumers.
However, regarding this, reforms are underway to further reduce electricity prices; a reduction in electricity prices will reduce production costs.
Moreover, oil prices have decreased in the global market in 72 hours, and we are considering options soon and will work to provide the benefits to the economy and the people.
Earlier, the Punjab government has formally closed the grievance process pertaining to the CM Laptop Scheme 2025. As stated on its official website, before the deadline of March 18, 2025, more than 93,000 students from Punjab’s government universities submitted applications.
The scheme intends to provide 110,000 laptops with the latest technology to deserving students. Eligible students are BS students in their 1st or 2nd semester from public sector universities/universities, government colleges, medical or dental colleges. Students from private institutions were not eligible to apply.
This initiative is designed to support education, promote digital access, enhance student skills, and help with youth empowerment across the province.
The next step is the release of merit lists, which will have the names of students who are selected to receive 13th generation devices, free of cost. “The Grievance Redressal process is closed now. Wait for the merit list to be displayed.”
