The National Assembly session has approved a resolution presented by Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar regarding Palestine, which demanded a permanent ceasefire in Palestine and an end to the atrocities being committed there.

A session of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq; the resolution has the signatures of all parliamentary parties of the government and the opposition.

The resolution stated that the House strongly condemns the criminal Israeli crimes in Palestine. The aggression that resumed on March 18 has martyred more than 1,600 more Palestinians. The House expresses its full solidarity with the Palestinian brothers and sisters.

The text of the resolution presented in the National Assembly stated that the House expresses concern over the failure of the international community to stop the Israeli aggression.

The House demands the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupying forces from Gaza and calls on the international community to recognize Palestine as a full member of the UN.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, while addressing the House, said that atrocities are being committed in Palestine, and points were scored on Palestine, which I condemn. There should be no politics on the issue of Palestine. Today, we should put local issues aside.

He said that it is written on our passport that it is not acceptable to Israel. We can travel anywhere in the world except Israel. We neither believe nor accept Israel. South Africa was courageous and went to the International Court of Justice against genocide.

The Federal Information Minister said that if it weren’t for Al Jazeera, the atrocities being committed would not have been visible — their journalists have been martyred.
