Speaker hints at debate on dual nationals willing to contest elections in Pakistan

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has termed the overseas Pakistanis as valuable assets of the country.
He was addressing at the first Annual Convention of Overseas Pakistanis at Jinnah Convention Centre today.
The Speaker said that the overseas Pakistanis are ambassadors of the country.
The Pakistanis living abroad play a role in highlighting the better image of the country.
He said that there can be a debate on dual nationals contesting elections in Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis should discuss this issue with their parties, he added.
The Speaker said that reserved seats for overseas Pakistanis in the parliament can also be discussed.
He further said that legislation can also be made to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis.
He was of the view that Pakistanis sending foreign exchange should get VIP protocol.
