Eid-ul Azha 2025: Karachi Maweshi Mandi schedule and opening date

Excitement is building in Karachi as residents get ready for Eidul Azha. The city is preparing for the grand opening of the famous Maweshi Mandi (Cattle Market) at the Northern Bypass on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The final preparations are complete, and thousands of animals have already started arriving from DG Khan, Multan, Punjab, and interior Sindh. You’ll see all kinds of cows and goats in different sizes and colors, ready for sale.

New Token System for Smooth Buying

This year, the market is introducing a token system. Buyers will get a token for each animal they purchase, which will help them exit the market easily and safely.

• Dedicated parking areas

• Traders in general sections can bring their own tents

• VIP and VVIP traders can get discounts on tent rentals or set up their own (if they meet quality rules)

Even before the official opening, early arrivals from Punjab and Sindh are already being helped by the organizers. It’s expected to be one of Karachi’s biggest cattle markets ever.
