Federation trying to seize our resources: Fazlur Rehman
Federation seize our resources
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the federal government is trying to unilaterally seize our minerals and rejects the Mines and Minerals Bill.
Addressing a press conference at the party’s provincial headquarters in Peshawar, the JUI-F chief said that the federation wants to seize our resources through the Mines and Minerals Bill and that this is an attack on the rights of the people of the province and the Eighteenth Amendment.
The JUI chief further added that they would reject any bill that would undermine the province’s authority.
Moreover, we will not allow international powers or the federal government to own the province’s resources, and if anyone wants to invest, they can do so by signing an agreement with the province, but we will not tolerate anyone else’s interests being violated or minerals being taken over by others.
Additionally, the issue of Afghan refugees is a problem between two countries; it should be resolved together with Afghanistan, and instead of deporting Afghan refugees, a dignified procedure should be created for their return.
In the end, he has announced that there will be a Gaza Million March at Minar Pakistan in Lahore on April 27, and a Dead Israel conference will be held in Peshawar on May 11.
