Youth must drive change through technology : Justice Kayani

Drive change through technology
Islamabad High Court Justice (IHC) Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has said that the new generation has to bring about change through technology.
Addressing the National Learning and Sharing Conference (NLSC), Justice Kayani of the IHC said that ideas are being discussed in the world, but in our country, laws have been made, not just implementation. Laws have been made to prevent gender-based violence through technology. People of my age can no longer learn. The new generation has to bring about change through technology. We cannot copy and paste emails on our mobile phones.
In addition, as the head of the Supreme Court committee, he taught us technology. Only on the basis of technology can we meet the needs of 250 million people.
He said that the Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) in Pakistan has 15 labs, of which only two are women. If technology is used at all levels, it will be possible to prevent gender-based violence through technology. If we look at why the accused are acquitted instead of who is punished, then the problems can be solved.
The IHC judge further added that my personal opinion is that a judge starts thinking in the same way after sitting in the chamber. There should be joint exercises with all stakeholders so that the judge’s vision is broad. Whichever party comes to power, it sees things according to its manifesto.
Moreover, no major social media platform has a regional office in Pakistan, and complaints are not redressed.
However, the Punjab Forensic Lab (PFL) was established in Pakistan during the Nawaz Sharif government, the Sindh government’s policies on gender violence are currently exemplary, the National Forensic Authority is being established, and political effort is required for this.
