Bodies of Pakistanis killed in Iran reached home

The bodies of eight Pakistanis killed in Iran have reached Pakistan.
On April 12, gunmen killed Pakistani nationals in a workshop in Mehristan area of Iran’s border province of Sistan.
The deceased seven Pakistanis belonged to Khanqah Sharif area of Bahawalpur while one Pakistani belonged to Shujaabad area of Multan.
The eight bodies were transported from Iran to Islamabad and then to Bahawalpur by a special aircraft late at night, from where they were sent to their native places through ambulances.
The victims were motor mechanics and worked at a workshop in Iran’s Sistan province.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Dilshad, Muhammad Nasir, Malik Jamshed, Mohammad Danish, Mohammad Naeem, Ghulam Jafar and Mohammad Khalid.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and concern over the incident and demanded the Iranian government to immediately arrest and punish the culprits.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismael Baqai said: “We strongly condemn the terrorist attack, which is a criminal act and contrary to Islamic teachings, law and human values.”
The spokesman added that Iran will leave no stone unturned to identify and bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.
