Karachi: Rs15,000 fine to be imposed on one-way violation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has decided to impose a fine of Rs15,000 on people violating one-way on the city’s main roads.
The move is aimed at preventing traffic violations and ensuring safety of citizens.
The fines will be enforced by city wardens. This decision has been taken on the instructions of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Karachi Task Force.
A resolution in this regard will be presented in the next council meeting so that it can be formally implemented.
The mayor said that strict measures are necessary to improve traffic and prevent accidents.
He appealed to the citizens to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the administration to ensure safe travel in the city.
