Hungary Schengen Visa 2025: Bank Statement & Financial Proof Requirement for Pakistani Citizens

Hungary Schengen Visa 2025: Bank Statement & Financial Proof Requirement for Pakistani Citizens
For Pakistani travelers planning to visit Hungary, obtaining a Type C Schengen visa remains a crucial step. This visa permits short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period across the Schengen zone. When Hungary is the sole travel destination—or in special cases like Lithuania or Estonia—the Hungarian Embassy in Islamabad is responsible for processing the visa application.
According to official guidelines from the embassy, applicants must be able to prove the conditions of their entry and stay in Hungary. Failure to do so may result in denial of entry at the border.
Hungary continues to stand out as a top destination in Central Europe, offering a vibrant mix of historical landmarks, thermal baths, scenic beauty, and culinary delights, all at relatively economical rates.
Required Documentation
Applicants are required to submit a complete set of supporting documents to ensure their application is not rejected. These include hotel reservations, travel insurance, confirmed return tickets, proof of financial means, and other relevant paperwork. Incomplete or insufficient documentation may lead to delays or denials.
Financial Proof: Bank Statement Criteria
One of the most critical elements of the Hungary Schengen visa application is the demonstration of financial capacity. As per April 2025 requirements, applicants must provide a six-month bank statement with visible transaction history, officially stamped and signed by the issuing bank.
Additional financial documentation includes the National Tax Number Certificate and evidence of income-generating assets or other sources of subsistence.
The Hungarian authorities require a minimum of HUF 10,000 (Hungarian Forints) per day to cover living expenses. Based on the exchange rate as of April 18, 2025 — with one forint equaling approximately 0.78 Pakistani paisa — a 90-day stay would require a minimum bank balance of around PKR 700,000.
Visa Fee
The current fee for a Type C Schengen visa from Pakistan is PKR 25,925.
Travelers are advised to review all requirements carefully and prepare their applications with complete documentation to ensure smooth visa processing
