Strong earthquake rocks several parts of Pakistan – Check more details

Earthquake tremors were felt in several cities across Pakistan on Saturday, causing brief panic among residents.

According to initial reports, tremors were experienced in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Peshawar. Other affected areas included Kohat, Lower Dir, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Upper Hazara, and Chitral.

Tremors were also reported in Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Mandi Bahauddin (Malakwal), Charsadda, Khyber, Shangla, and Battagram.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, residents also reported feeling the earthquake.

Additionally, tremors were felt in Sargodha, Chiniot, Haripur, Abbottabad, and Pindi Bhattian.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 94 kilometers. The epicenter was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

So far, no casualties or major damage have been reported.
