TikToker Kashif Zameer arrested for viral video disrespecting police

Controversial TikTok star and social media personality Kashif Zameer has been arrested for allegedly disrespecting and undermining the image of law enforcement in a video that recently went viral and sparked public outrage.

Zameer was apprehended during a police raid on the outskirts of Lahore and later transferred to the city for further investigation.

According to police officials, a case has been registered at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and other relevant sections of the law. The complaint states that Zameer, in coordination with a police constable, created and circulated content on social media that mocked the police force and damaged public trust in law enforcement.

One of the viral videos showed Zameer throwing cash from a tray held by a uniformed police officer during an event. The video was condemned widely and seen as an act intended to undermine the dignity of the police and challenge their authority.

A police spokesperson said, “These kinds of stunts damage public trust in the police and are legally punishable.”

In a surprising twist, officials revealed that Zameer allegedly used artificial intelligence tools to alter a follow-up video, changing the color of the officer’s uniform in an attempt to avoid legal consequences and hide the identity of the police official involved.

Authorities say further investigations are ongoing and have vowed to take strict action against those who misuse digital platforms to disrespect public institutions.
