20 April, 2025 18:14

Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab assured the early completion of ongoing development work in the city and resolution of the parking problem.

In this regard, he has stated in a statement that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is continuing its development work, fulfilling what it promised. KMC decided to restore the historical heritage and eliminate the problems.

However, we have inaugurated a car parking lot in the Saddar area. This parking lot will be able to accommodate 300 cars and motorcycles. We are trying to resolve the issues amicably. The biggest problem near Empress Market was parking. This parking lot will be able to accommodate more than 500 cars.

Additionally, we decided to solve the parking problem in the first phase. The work on the second phase of Bhutto Highway will also be completed soon. We are not crying for lack of authority. We will continue to work for the development of the city. We do not announce and put up plaques but show by doing work.

Moreover, Denso Hall will be opened to the public on April 30. Our target is to work quickly on the Empress Market project. I would like to request the citizens to support the development work. We are also working on the Korangi Causeway and Jam Sadiq Bridge.

According to the Mayor Karachi, the underpass of Meena Bazaar will also be completed by August 30, the parking space of Bolton Market will be completed by June, and the railway site where weddings are being held should be handed over to KMC.
