PM in Ankara to boost ties with Turkey

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Ankara on a two-day visit to Turkey on Tuesday, GTV news reported.

According to GTV news, the Turkish defense minister welcomes the prime minister at Ankara Airport.

On this occasion, the deputy governor of Ankara and president of the Pakistan-Turkey Cultural Association (PTCA), along with high-ranking officials, were present.

The PM has been accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi on the official visit.

During the two-day visit, PM Shehbaz and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet, in which the two leaders will discuss bilateral relations and regional and global issues.

Moreover, both leaders will also address a joint press conference in Turkey.

Apart from it, the PM will also meet with Turkish investors and business delegations to extend greater relations in the financial sector.

On the other hand, PM Sharif has said that financial assistance from international financial institutions is needed to solve the problems of climate change.

In this regard, Sharif met with the Secretary General of the International Trade Union Confederation, during which he said that climate change has caused employment problems and losses for workers.

In addition, a delegation from a Chinese space technology company also met with the PM, in which the delegation expressed interest in joint projects with space technology institutions and private telecom companies.

On this occasion, the premier added that he wants to increase cooperation with China in space technology, space satellites, telecommunications, and satellite internet.
