China announces support for Pakistan over Pahalgam incident

China has announced its support to Pakistan over the Pahalgam incident.

“We fully understand Pakistan’s legitimate security concerns and strongly support efforts to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and security interests,” the Chinese foreign minister said in a statement.

He also reiterated his support for a fair and timely investigation into the recent incident in Pahalgam.

The Chinese Foreign Minister urged both Pakistan and India to show patience and adopt the path of dialogue to resolve the issues.

Four days ago, an incident took place in Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir in which 26 tourists were killed in firing by gunmen. India had suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and taken various steps, blaming Pakistan for the incident.

In response, Pakistan also adopted a strong strategy and ordered all kinds of trade with India, complete closure of Pakistani airspace for Indian airlines and Indian diplomats to leave the country.

After the attack in Pahalgam, Pakistan offered an impartial investigation at the international level and in effective diplomacy in this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister contacted foreign ministers from all over the world and apprised them of the situation.
