Green Minds Pakistan conducts powerful health, hygiene workshop

Green Minds Pakistan, a youth-led environmental and social awareness initiative, organized an impactful health and hygiene workshop at Government Boys Primary School No. 11 in Landhi Town, Karachi.
Over 100 young students actively participated in the interactive session focused on basic hygiene practices essential for a healthy life.
Leading the session, Mr. Abdul Wali Khan, CEO and Lead Trainer at Green Minds Pakistan, emphasized the importance of daily hygiene habits. “Brushing your teeth at night before bed and again in the morning after breakfast, wearing clean clothes, and most importantly, washing your hands before every meal—these are simple yet powerful steps to prevent illness,” he explained to the eager young audience.
He further highlighted that neglecting cleanliness can affect not just personal health, but also the well-being of classmates and family members at home. “Keeping a handkerchief while coughing, changing clothes after outdoor play or contact with pets, and washing hands thoroughly with soap are small practices that make a big difference,” he added during the lively Q&A session.
Principal Madam Tasneem Kiran praised the initiative, calling the workshop “highly effective and much-needed.” She noted, “The children showed genuine interest, asked thoughtful questions, and we are hopeful they will now practice these lessons in their daily lives.”
The workshop left a strong impression on students as well. Young participant Aznah Naeem shared, “I’ve learned to wash my hands before and after meals, and I will encourage others to do the same.” Another student, Fabiha Rashid, added, “I will keep a handkerchief with me when I have a cough, and I’ll focus on eating healthy food to stay strong.”
Miss Rubab Ali, a PST teacher at the school, described the session as “incredibly useful.” She observed noticeable changes in students’ behavior, saying, “They are now more conscious about keeping their uniforms and themselves clean. Such learning opportunities are rare in public schools, and more workshops like this in the future will be invaluable for our students.”
Green Minds Pakistan continues its mission to empower students through knowledge and practical awareness in health, hygiene, and environmental responsibility—especially in underserved communities.
