Pakistan Railways opens luxury salons for public booking – Check fares details

Pakistan Railways has officially announced the ticket prices for its luxury salon coaches, including the one previously reserved for the prime minister, now open for public use.

The fare for the Prime Minister’s Salon is set at Rs 600,000 for Karachi to Lahore and Rs 150,000 for Islamabad to Lahore. Other luxury salons will cost Rs 400,000 from Karachi to Lahore and Rs 100,000 from Islamabad to Lahore.

A spokesperson said these prices cover full bookings with special facilities, offering travelers privacy, comfort, and modern features.

These luxury coaches, once reserved for top government officials like the Prime Minister, federal ministers, and senior Pakistan Railways staff, have now been made available to the public on the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The goal is to provide premium travel options and make better use of existing railway resources.

The salons are now bookable on major routes such as Karachi–Lahore and Islamabad–Lahore.
