Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that 26 civilians were martyred and 46 injured in Indian attacks carried out under the cover of darkness.
During a press conference, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif said that India repeated its cowardly history during the night between May 6 and 7 by targeting civilians under the darkness.
He revealed that 26 innocent civilians were martyred in Indian strikes across six locations, while 46 others were injured. In Muzaffarabad, Masjid Bilal was targeted, and in Ahmadpur Sharqia alone, 13 civilians lost their lives. No casualties or damage were reported from Sialkot.
He stated that five civilians were martyred as a result of Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC). In response, the Pakistan Armed Forces shot down five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale jets and one MiG-21. The aircraft were downed in areas such as Bathinda, Jammu, Srinagar, and others.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that a hostile Indian drone was also shot down, and the enemy aircraft were targeted as they attempted to attack Pakistan. The Pakistan Armed Forces responded in a short span of time, and the Pakistan Air Force successfully prevented enemy jets from entering Pakistani airspace.
The DG ISPR further said that in response to India’s violation of the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan targeted the Indian Army’s brigade headquarters. He warned that India’s water aggression would have serious consequences and assured that any Indian misconceptions would be corrected. He also clarified that no Pakistani aircraft entered Indian airspace.
