India will pay price for its aggression: PM Shehbaz

07 May, 2025 22:26

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the nation, said that India will now have to bear the consequences of the grave mistake it made by attacking last night.

He said that perhaps they understood that we would retreat, but they forgot that this is a nation of brave people, one that is steely in its resolve, whose sons have distinguished themselves on the battlefield, and who are ready to fight to the last drop of blood for the honor and protection of their homeland.

Shahbaz Sharif said that last night the whole world saw that it took only a few hours to bring down an enemy that was many times larger in numbers, and by the grace and mercy of Allah, our falcons created such a storm in the air that the enemy screamed. India’s 5 warplanes, which were their pride, have now become only ashes, debris, and a warning sign.

The Prime Minister said that this was our tooth-crushing response, which included the thunder of Squadron Leader MM Alam, which resounded with full force last night, and our Falcons struck such effective blows at the enemy that even the ointment of time will never be able to heal.

The PM said that India’s cowardly attacks killed 26 innocent civilians and injured 46, including children and women.

The premier added that he had just returned from offering the funeral prayers of a child. He was only 7 years old. He was at home with his mother and brother when a splinter hit him, and he returned to his Creator. Hand on heart, tell me—did this little flower wither before it even had a chance to bloom?

He said that the nation pays tribute to our other great Pakistanis who have similarly attained the high status of martyrdom, and the whole of Pakistan stands with the families of these martyrs and prays for the recovery of the injured.

He said that we pledge that every drop of the blood of these martyrs will definitely be accounted for. This is the cowardly enemy who considers himself powerful by attacking unarmed people, but last night we proved that Pakistan knows how to give a befitting reply in its defense.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that today the entire nation salutes the courage and bravery of its brave forces. In the hour-long air war on the Line of Control, Pakistani pilots, while remaining within their own borders, shot down enemy aircraft with the highest level of professionalism, bravery and unparalleled courage.

He said that in last night’s battle, Pakistan once again proved its superiority over the enemy in the war of conventional weapons. On this occasion, I salute every soldier and officer of the Pakistani armed forces, including Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, and Chief of Navy Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

He said that I assure you (the people) that 240 million Pakistanis are proud of you, my dear compatriots! The Indian attack under the guise of the Pahalgam incident is baseless and unjustified. As a peace-loving country, Pakistan had demanded an impartial and transparent investigation into the incident, which the world fully supported, but India chose the path of aggression, violating international law and international requirements.

He said that according to international law and UN resolutions, occupied Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain a disputed territory until the Kashmiri brothers and sisters get the right to vote in an independent, impartial and UN-supervised environment.

Moreover, India may indeed take 100 unilateral decisions, but this will never change the reality, my brothers and sisters! The country most affected by terrorism in this region is Pakistan. We have sacrificed 90,000 lives in the war against terrorism and suffered financial losses of more than $152 billion.

He said that it is India’s delusion that its current adventure will divert our attention from the war to eliminate terrorism. We will take this war to its logical conclusion and die.

The Prime Minister said that for the honor, integrity and defense of Pakistan, the army and the people are one soul. 240 million Pakistanis, regardless of the consequences, will join their brave forces to confront the enemy and defeat falsehood.

He said, “I salute your determination, courage, and passion for the integrity of the homeland because you are fighting for the truth.
