Former DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor Warns Indian PM Modi After Pakistan’s Military Response

Ex-ISPR DG Asif Ghafoor issues stern warning to Modi after Pakistan’s strong response
Following Pakistan’s powerful counterattack against Indian aggression, former Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor (Retd), issued a direct and stern warning to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ghafoor wrote:
“Narendra Modi, you have been repeatedly warned not to test our resolve and not to interfere with Pakistan.”
He also shared a Quranic verse to reflect Pakistan’s confidence and faith in victory:
“Nasr Min Allah Wa Fathun Qareeb”
(Translation: Victory is from Allah and the triumph is near).
In another tweet, Ghafoor revealed that his earlier post had been hidden from timelines by Twitter, suggesting censorship. He responded by saying:
“This is just one post; how will India confront Pakistan’s armed forces?”
The statement implied that online suppression won’t affect Pakistan’s military determination.
Ghafoor continued his warning by tagging Modi in a separate post, stating:
“You are, in fact, a terrorist state, and you have shown your worst face in occupied Kashmir through your brutal oppression of innocent Kashmiris.”
These comments came amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, following a series of cross-border strikes and military escalations.
Defence Minister Also Speaks Out
Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, also posted a strong message on X, praising the country’s armed forces for their swift and bold retaliation. Quoting legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, he wrote:
“Jo woh qarz rakhte thay jaan par, woh hisaab aaj chuka diya”
(Translation: The debt they placed on our lives—we’ve settled it today).
He ended his post with patriotic declarations:
“Allahu Akbar, Long live Pakistan Armed Forces, Long live Pakistan.”
The Defence Minister thanked Allah for Pakistan’s successful military response and praised the bravery and unity of the armed forces.
The situation remains tense as both nations continue to exchange military and political warnings, while the global community watches closely.
