Pakistan army pays tribute to martyred children with Al-Fateh missile strike
According to security sources, “Pakistan neither has forgotten nor will forget the sacrifices of these innocent souls.” A photograph released alongside the strike displayed a banner on the missile launch vehicle bearing the names of the martyred children.
These children were among the civilians tragically killed during the May 7 escalation, when an unprovoked Indian cross-border attack claimed the lives of at least 31 civilians, including several minors. In retaliation, Pakistan responded by shooting down five Indian Air Force jets, including three Rafale fighters, and intercepting dozens of drones.
Despite this, India continued to violate Pakistan’s airspace, sending nearly 80 drones, many of them advanced Israeli-made IAI Heron UAVs, which were subsequently downed by the Pakistan military.
The situation worsened on Friday night as India launched multiple missile attacks on Pakistani airbases — Noor Khan, Murid, and Shorkot — using fighter aircraft, according to Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. He added, “India is aggressively pushing the entire region towards war with its reckless actions.”
The DG ISPR reassured the nation that “All our assets are safe, and we are fully prepared for any response.”
In the aftermath, Pakistan initiated a strong counter-offensive targeting key Indian military installations. Seven major sites were struck, including airbases in Pathankot, Udhampur, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and a BrahMos missile storage facility. The Udhampur air base was hit with three Fateh-1 missiles, indigenously developed weapons with a range of 120km.
Additionally, Pakistani forces destroyed an Indian Army brigade headquarters and a supply depot in Uri, while a cyberattack reportedly crippled 70% of India’s power grid, security sources confirmed.
