Pakistan shuts airspace for all flights amid clashes with India

Pakistan has closed its airspace from 3:15 AM to 12:00 PM today, after India launched a fresh wave of missile strikes on three Pakistani air bases, including the Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi.

The flight operations in both countries have been disturbed since last month, following the Pahalgam incident. Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours have grown rapidly.

Foreigners at Karachi Airport Shifted to Hotels

Due to the airspace closure, all international and domestic flights were suspended. At Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, foreign nationals were moved to hotels, as reported by airport sources late Friday night.
Other passengers waiting at the airport were advised to return home. Authorities have also advised all travellers to check their flight status with airlines before coming to the airport.

Pakistan Launches ‘Bunyan ul Marsoos’ Military Operation

Soon after India’s missile attacks, Pakistan launched a counter-operation named ‘Bunyan ul Marsoos’. According to security sources, at least 10 military sites inside India were targeted in response.
Key targets included:

• Pathankot Air Base

• Udhampur Air Base

• Gujarat Air Base

• Rajasthan Air Base

• BrahMos missile storage facilities in Beas and Nagrota

These sites were reportedly hit with precision strikes. The name of the operation, Bunyan ul Marsoos, comes from a verse in the Holy Quran. It means “a wall built of molten lead,” showing unity and strength.

India’s Missile Attacks on Pakistani Air Bases

Late on Friday, India fired air-to-ground missiles at three Pakistani air bases. These included:

• Nur Khan Air Base (Rawalpindi)

• Murid Air Base (Chakwal)

• Shorkot Air Base

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed the attack during a press conference. He said, “By the grace of Allah Almighty, all PAF assets are safe.”
He also said India had fired missiles and drones into Afghanistan, further raising concerns in the region.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry gave a strong message to India. “Now just wait for our response,” he said.
He accused India of pushing the region towards war with its arrogance. “We will not be impressed. We will fight with full force,” he warned.
