Pakistan strikes back in self-defence: Ishaq Dar

Deputy PM Dar confirms Pakistan, India agree to ceasefire
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced on Saturday that Pakistan has officially initiated Operation Bunyan un-Marsoos, a counteroffensive aimed at responding to ongoing Indian military aggression.
Addressing a press conference, Dar emphasized that the operation was a direct reaction to India’s unprovoked actions, which have led to significant civilian casualties. “We have responded, and the entire world is watching,” he stated. “India refuses to back down from its hostile stance, but Pakistan is acting entirely in self-defense.”
According to Dar, more than 80 Indian drones have been shot down by Pakistan’s defense systems over the past several days. He also confirmed that Indian forces had targeted sensitive Pakistani sites, including Noor Khan Airbase, Shorkot, and Sukkur Airport.
“We have initiated the operation today — this is our answer. Victory will be ours,” Dar asserted, highlighting that Operation Bunyan un-Marsoos represents a crucial turning point in the escalating conflict. The operation’s name, inspired by the Quranic phrase meaning “The Solid Structure,” reflects Pakistan’s determination to defend its sovereignty and citizens.
Dar concluded by reinforcing that Pakistan’s response will remain rooted in the right to self-defense amidst continued provocations from India.
