Pakistan’s Cyber Strike: 70% of Indian Power Grid dysfunctional

10 May, 2025 07:33

In the early hours of Saturday, Pakistan reportedly launched a significant cyberattack that rendered 70% of India’s power grid dysfunctional, according to security sources. This major disruption came as part of Pakistan’s broader military response under β€œOperation Bunyan ul Marsoos”, which was initiated in retaliation for what Islamabad describes as “continuous Indian provocations.”

As part of the ongoing counter-offensive, security officials revealed that “Pakistan has successfully destroyed the storage facility of the BrahMos missile in Beas, from where missiles were launched at Pakistan.” The BrahMos missile site was considered a critical asset in India’s offensive capabilities.

The operation, led by the Pakistan Armed Forces, is targeting several key Indian military sites. β€œMultiple strategic targets across India are being engaged as part of the operation,” the sources added, indicating a widening scope of the military action.

Additionally, β€œThe Udhampur Air Base β€” a major operational site β€” and the airfield in Pathankot have also been heavily hit,” confirming significant damage to Indian air defense infrastructure.

This escalation follows intense cross-border tensions, with both sides exchanging strikes and Pakistan now taking the offensive through cyber warfare and precision military targeting.
