Karachi power outage alert: 33 feeders to shut down on May 13, check timing for your area
KARACHI – May 13, 2025: Residents of Karachi are expected to face long hours of power outages today, as K-Electric (KE) announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown on 33 of its 2,100 feeders across the city.
The power company confirmed that the planned power suspension will take place from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM in different locations for transformer maintenance and system upgrades. This shutdown is part of KE’s efforts to improve the city’s electrical infrastructure.
Maintenance Will Affect Daily Routines
Due to the maintenance work, citizens living in affected areas will face power cuts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, disrupting homes, businesses, and daily life. KE has urged residents to make necessary arrangements and stay updated through its official platforms.
