CM Punjab free Laptop scheme 2025 begins today
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is launching the CM Punjab Laptop Program 2025 today, May 14, in Faisalabad. A special ceremony is being held at Government College Faisalabad, where she will hand over laptops to students as part of efforts to empower youth and close the digital gap.
The laptops being distributed come with the latest 13th Gen Core i7 processors, SSD storage, and high-speed RAM. In total, 110,000 laptops will be given out in multiple phases across Punjab.
Phase 1 Details
In the first phase, 39,891 students have been selected. These students will receive their laptops in the coming days.
You can check if your name is on the merit list for Phase 1 by visiting the official website. The scheme is only for students of public sector universities, colleges, and medical/dental colleges who are in 1st or 2nd semester. Private college students are not eligible.
This program is focused on promoting education, digital skills, and job opportunities for young people in Punjab.
Biometric Verification Update
To ensure fair distribution, the Higher Education Department (HED) has teamed up with NADRA for biometric verification. This process started on April 24 at e-Sahulat Centres, and the cost for thumb verification is being covered by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
All colleges and universities have been told to complete student verification on time to avoid delays.
