Feudal lords brutally torture a laborer in Sargodha – Watch Video

A disturbing video showing the brutal torture of a poor laborer in the Bhalwal area of Sargodha has gone viral on social media, drawing nationwide anger. In the footage, influential individuals can be seen mercilessly beating the victim with sticks.

As per online sources, the incident involved feudal landlords allegedly punishing the laborer for refusing to do housework. The laborer, reportedly a carpenter, was “kidnapped from his home at gunpoint” and taken to a private “Dera” where he was tortured. The individuals named in the viral posts are Kaleem Shah, Aqeel Shah, and Aqeel Awan, said to be linked to Nabi Shah Bala Bhalwal.

The incident has amplified growing concerns regarding the performance of law enforcement and the provincial administration in Punjab. Recent violent events in the province have sparked outrage, exposing glaring flaws in governance.

The circulation of such graphic content, along with witness accounts of injustice and unchecked brutality, highlights the government’s indifference toward human rights violations.

“No action has been taken by the Punjab Police so far, nor have the involved persons been arrested. The public, social media users and human rights activists are outraged that the government is remaining a silent spectator and is obstructing the path of justice.”
