Saudi Arabia reviews Pakistan’s last appeal for 65,000 Private Hajj 2025 pilgrims
Saudi Arabia reviews Pakistan’s last appeal for 65,000 Private Hajj 2025 pilgrims
The Pakistani government has made a final request to Saudi Arabia to allow about 65,000 Pakistani pilgrims to join Hajj 2025 under the private scheme. These pilgrims were left out because of delays and mismanagement by private Hajj tour operators.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs sent a formal appeal in both English and Urdu, asking for Saudi support—especially since many of these pilgrims are elderly and may not get another chance to perform Hajj in their lifetime. The request highlights the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and compassion.
Saudi Arabia has already accepted an additional 2,078 Pakistani pilgrims for Hajj 2025, bringing the number of affected people down to around 65,000. Pakistan remains hopeful that Saudi officials will approve the rest.
Private Operators Under Scrutiny
Due to the poor handling by private Hajj companies, Pakistan has formed a three-member committee to investigate what went wrong. The goal is to identify those responsible and ensure better planning next time. Going forward, the ministry promises to strictly follow Saudi Arabia’s rules and deadlines, with private tour operators agreeing to do the same.
The government and private companies are working together to make sure these 65,000 pilgrims still get to go. Many have been preparing for years, and this could be their only opportunity.
Hajj is a major religious event for Muslims around the world, and for Pakistani pilgrims—especially older ones—it is a very meaningful and spiritual journey. Talks between the two countries are ongoing, and everyone hopes for a positive outcome that honors the unity and faith of this sacred duty.
