COAS Gen Asim Munir promoted to rank of field marshal

Important decisions and announcements were made in the federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday that the Government of Pakistan approves the promotion of General Asim Munir to the rank of Field Marshal.

General Asim Munir was promoted to the rank of field marshal on the basis of the superior strategy of the Banyan ul Marsus.

General Asim Munir was promoted to the rank of field marshal for defeating the enemy.

On this joys occasion, Field Marshal General Asim Munir said that I dedicate this honor to the entire nation, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, especially the civil and military martyrs and ghazis. I am grateful for the trust of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the cabinet. This honor is a trust of the nation, for which millions of Asims have sacrificed their lives.

Also, the Pakistan Air Force Chief Zaheer Ahmad Babar, whose retirement date was near, has been told to continue with his service as the PAF Chief.
