ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, carried out by militants reportedly operating under Indian patronage.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent children and their teachers in the heinous act of terrorism. He conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the parents of the victims and directed authorities to immediately identify those responsible and ensure they are given exemplary punishment.

The Prime Minister also instructed that the injured be provided immediate and priority-based medical treatment.

Calling the attack a clear sign of hostility towards education in Balochistan, the Prime Minister stated, β€œThe attack by terrorists operating under Indian patronage on a school bus carrying innocent children is clear evidence of their hostility towards education in Balochistan.”

He further said, β€œThe terrorists have crossed all bounds of brutality by attacking the school bus.”

Vowing justice, the Prime Minister affirmed, β€œWe will not rest until these terrorists, nurtured by Indian support, meet their end.”

β€œNo effort will be spared in thwarting the evil designs of these Indian-backed terrorists to destabilize peace in Balochistan,” he added.

β€œThose who target Pakistan’s futureβ€”our innocent childrenβ€”will be brought to justice,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

He assured the grieving families that β€œmy sympathies, and those of the entire nation, are with the families of the innocent children who became victims of this barbaric act of terrorism.”

Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the Prime Minister said that the security forces and the Government of Pakistan remain determined and united in their mission to completely eliminate terrorism from the country.
