Prime Minister, President Strongly Condemn Terrorist Attack on School Bus in Khuzdar
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, carried out by militants reportedly operating under Indian patronage.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent children and their teachers in the heinous act of terrorism. He conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the parents of the victims and directed authorities to immediately identify those responsible and ensure they are given exemplary punishment.
The Prime Minister also instructed that the injured be provided immediate and priority-based medical treatment.
Calling the attack a clear sign of hostility towards education in Balochistan, the Prime Minister stated, “The attack by terrorists operating under Indian patronage on a school bus carrying innocent children is clear evidence of their hostility towards education in Balochistan.”
He further said, “The terrorists have crossed all bounds of brutality by attacking the school bus.”
Vowing justice, the Prime Minister affirmed, “We will not rest until these terrorists, nurtured by Indian support, meet their end.”
“No effort will be spared in thwarting the evil designs of these Indian-backed terrorists to destabilize peace in Balochistan,” he added.
“Those who target Pakistan’s future—our innocent children—will be brought to justice,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He assured the grieving families that “my sympathies, and those of the entire nation, are with the families of the innocent children who became victims of this barbaric act of terrorism.”
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the Prime Minister said that the security forces and the Government of Pakistan remain determined and united in their mission to completely eliminate terrorism from the country.
President Asif Ali Zardari Response
In a separate statement, President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the terrorist attack on school bus in Khuzdar in strong terms. The President expressed condolences to the families of the five individuals, including children, who were martyred in the attack.
He called the attack on children “inhumane” and “heinous,” saying, “An attack on school-going children is an inhumane and heinous crime,” said the President.
He stated that “India is involved in supporting terrorists against Pakistan,” and vowed that “we will completely eliminate the Indian-backed terrorists.”
The President pledged to expose the truth of India on the international level, asserting, “We will expose India’s support for terrorism in Pakistan at the international level.”
“Terrorists are enemies of education and humanity,” he said, emphasizing that “they are also enemies of the country’s progress and the province’s prosperity.”
President Zardari concluded, stating, “Terrorists do not want to see Balochistan develop.”
