Pakistan, China Agree to Expand CPEC into Afghanistan
During a meeting in Beijing, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi held trilateral talks focused on regional peace, development, and connectivity, according to a statement by the Foreign Office spokesperson.
During the discussions, the three countries underscored the importance of strengthening diplomatic relations and building mutual trust. They highlighted the need for a stable security environment as a foundation for regional progress.
The spokesperson added that all three nations committed to the complete elimination of terrorism and to enhancing collaboration on security matters.
It was also announced that the next trilateral meeting of foreign ministers will be hosted in Kabul.
