22 May, 2025 12:15

Pakistan has declared a staff member of the Indian High Commission (HC), an Indian diplomat, persona non grata for engaging in activities that violate the privileges associated with his diplomatic status.

The official has been instructed to leave Pakistan within 24 hours, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs late Wednesday evening.

The Indian Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Ministry to receive a formal communication regarding this decision. It was emphasized that Indian diplomats and staff members should not misuse their privileges or status in any way.

On May 14, Pakistan had already declared another staff member of the Indian High Commission persona non grata for similar reasons, with the official also instructed to leave within 24 hours. The Indian Chargé d’Affaires was once again called to the Ministry to receive this message.

Additionally, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that Pakistan possesses concrete evidence of India’s involvement in supporting terrorist activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He urged the international community to take notice of India’s role in sponsoring terrorism.
